As mentioned in the article How Chart of Accounts and General Ledger Codes Work you can either set up your GL codes at the company or agreement level, but you can't do both at the same time! Here's an example:

I want to apply agreement level GL codes because for that particular agreement they different from the company-wide GL codes set up. As a result, I deselect the check box "Use Company GL Codes & Cost Centers" and set up the GL codes at the agreement level. In this case, it's Agreement 456 in which I've input the following:

To double-check the GL codes, I can run my journals:

Once the agreement level GL codes are set up and saved, they will not change unless the following is done.

In addition to the Agreement 456 GL codes, I've set up the GL codes at the company level. In this case, Agreement 456 had been added to Company A. The GL codes I've added and saved for Company A are:

If I return the GL codes for Agreement 456, the agreement level GL codes are still there as expected:

However, if I then re-select the check box "Use Company GL Codes & Cost Centers" and select save, this will override the original agreement level GL codes and apply the company level GL codes:

To check that the company GL codes are working, I can run my journals:

If I return to the agreement GL codes and uncheck this box again, the agreement level GL codes will be blank as you've now overridden original agreement level GL codes with the company level GL codes. You will be required to input them in again:

Within Cradle, you can't pick and choose your GL codes. You either apply the company GL codes or input them at the agreement level.
