Regardless of the lease classification or the accounting standard, the current/non-current classification is calculated the same way.

Let's say we input the following details into Cradle:

  • Commencement/transition date: 2020-01-01

  • Discount rate: 3%

  • Accounting end date: 2022-12-31

  • Payment timing: In Advance

  • Payment Frequency: Every Month

  • Pay on Day Of Month: First day of the month

  • Fixed Payment Amount: $20,000

  • ROU End Date: 2022-12-31

If we run the disclosure report for the following date range:

It will result in the following:

(In this example, the lease liability is classified as a finance lease)
