The Template and Custom Field functionality allows you to capture any data concerning your lease portfolio.

As you've probably realized, the Initial Recognition and Modification tab are specifically engineered to capture all relevant data related to compliance with either IFRS 16 or ASC 842.

So what do you do if you want to capture additional data related to your lease portfolios, such as the square footage of an office building or the vehicle registration? That's where you would use Cradle's Template and Custom Field functionality.

Templates

Templates are identical to custom fields. The only difference is setting up a Template allows you to apply those fields to multiple agreements.

Templates are found on the side navigation bar. Click on "Templates" to set them up.

As a result, you would utilize the Template functionality if you have standard information you want to capture across a lease portfolio. For example, a company that leases are a large number of vehicles.

Custom Fields

Custom Fields are applied at the individual agreement level. This is where you can use a Template or create sections and fields specific to that agreement:

Once the template has been applied, you can edit the sections or fields.

The information input into these fields will be captured when using Cradle's Custom Reports.
